Aunt Me

Big news!!

Here's my new little (>5 lbs) niece - Penelope!

I guess I'm still stunned. She was born a week ago and it's taken me this long to post anything. She was a month early, that's my excuse. I hadn't wired my brain to think "baby" yet.

Now, how does one go about being an official aunt?

Toys and toys :) Toys whose noise level is proportionate with how much your sibling annoyed you when you were children. :) Spoiling nieces and nephews is great fun!

PS: That last comment was from me! But Blogger was being a pain and wouldn't let me do the usual "other" thing where I put my name and site url. :)

Spoil her with too much love and attention.

Remember as they get older and go through certain stages like the terrible twos (where I am at with my niece), that this is the time to get them super hyper and then leave...good payback for anything mean your sib ever did to you as a child...ha ha ha. I am evil.

I like Erin's comment!

P.S. She is so cute...and tiny!! My niece Syd was nearly ten pounds when she was born...our little monster...though she was two weeks late. Congrats on becoming an Auntie!

Thanks! Oh-kay, so spoiling...revenge...loud toys...

I am already designated the Crazy Aunt. I don't know how that happened. All I know is that Auntie Kt has a *terrible* ring to it, and if anyone else says it with a overly-cheerful laugh, I shall bob them one.

Whoops... of course I mean "bop" them one. How I wish Blogger let you edit your comments.

(What "bob them one" might mean, I shudder to think.)
