My feelings exactly...

Eh - too lazy to upload pictures right now, but I found this instead:

(Hmm, I can't seem to make it bigger. Here's the original source, if you're curious. Click on her version there to make it bigger.)

Yes, the fear of spoilers has kept many a poor Harry Potter fan locked away from society for the last week or so. The instant I had a copy, I knew the entire world...nay, the entire physical cosmos, were conspiring to leak some vital bit of information. Hooray for surviving to the end with absolutely no leaks!

TSO, are you still in the process of reading? I thought for sure I was the last human on the planet to finish that darn thing. There shall be no more spoilers, so read on, read on with ease.

I'm still reading... pg 149 at the moment... so thanks for the spoiler alerts! I'm going to have to remember, though, when I'm finished, to go back and read your posts.
I've chosen the "life AND Harry Potter" option, and so far so good.

I haven't even BEGUN to read. I need to reread the first six so I remember what's going on; the last time I read any of these books was... three years ago? The first 4 in a week, the fifth when it came out, and then the sixth on its premiere. Who knows when that'll be. I guess I'll just need to resign myself to being spoiled.

If you can get to it within the year, and if you avoid Harry Potter themed websites and the like, I bet you can read it spoiler-free. The ending of book 6 is now widely talked about, but it didn't start happening until long after the release.

Starpilgrim, how can you stand the suspense? Blaze through, baby, blaze through!

Granted, meting out chapters to myself throughout the week, rather than rushing through it before the dawn of Saturday the 21st, allowed me to catch bits that many readers missed, as is evident by the posters at the Leaky Lounge. I suspect that when you're on page 600 and you've been reading for five hours after waiting in line for an entire day, the little details tend to slip through the cracks.

Kt,

I too was questioning how TSOldtimer can take his time. I locked myself in my room to read it, and then read it at work all the next day, and when ever anyone would try to talk about it, I would say, "don't tell me anything." I lived in fear for those two days, that someone was going to ruin it.

Someone should write an article called, "How J.K. Rowling enstills paranoia in thousands!" Hmmm...

Yeah, my poor Johnny is still fighting through the book, and somebody at work accidentally spilled the beans on something big. He called me, miserable.

Ack, poor John! I finally had to speed up my reading because I knew something would spill out sooner or later. One day after I bought the book, I heard some kids saying, "I'm on page 250 and..."

I immediately changed direction and said LA LA LA LA!

Honestly, have you ever experienced such *terror* just trying to read one dang book? I'm with you, mls.

Joel and I were traveling while reading this book. We got it that monday and on each flight we had there were 5-7 people reading it and at various stages. It was quite thrilling to know that so many others in my immediate vicinity were going through the same emotions that I was. And then there were the stops in restaurants at the airports and people were talking about it in there too. Talk about covering your ears and la la laing it... My sister has yet to finish, she started long ago and is on pg. 300. I long for others to finish to talk to :)
